Mosman is celebrating National Volunteer Week and the council’s dedicated volunteers have continued doing their bit to support local older residents and strengthen the community links.
For over a decade, Mosman Jeannie Yuill has been an example of dedication and service by delivering Mosman Meals to residents, enjoying their life stories while helping the community
“If you enjoy helping people, making friends and want to be more involved in your community, I can highly recommend becoming a volunteer,” she says.
Mosman Council invites everyone that is interested in supporting older adults in the community to join in and spend one or two hours on weekdays doing volunteer work with Mosman Meals and the Community Link services.
Fully-vaccinated volunteers with their own cars are being sought to help out Monday to Friday. To enrol, contact Mosman Council’s Community Care team or visit mosman.nsw.gov.au/volunteers.
