A woman is facing court following a string of alleged shoplifting offences across the North Shore over the past few months. Police allege that the total value of stolen items is more than $11,000.
It is alleged that at least six supermarkets and a department store in Neutral Bay, Chatswood, Crows Nest, St Leonards and North Sydney areas were targeted on 13 occasions where a woman stole a cloth, toothpastes and medications.
Since March, North Shore Police Area Command officers have been investigating the multiple alleged shoplifting offences.
On Sunday morning, a 46-year-old woman was arrested, during which 68 toothpastes, 16 bottles of drink and 13 pain relief gel products were located and seized from a shopping trolley.
She was taken to Chatswood Police Station where she was charged with 13 counts of shoplifting value less than or equal to $2000, and breach of bail.
She was refused bail and appeared at Hornsby Local Court on Monday.
