With submissions closing on 26 July, it’s your last chance to enter the WIRES Wildlife Photography Competition!
If you’ve snapped a wildlife shot, whether with a camera or simply with your phone, WIRES wants to see it.
Winning photos will go into WIRES’ 2027 Wildlife Calendar. Proceeds from purchased calendars will go towards wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and recovery efforts. Photos therefore go towards a good cause for native animals.
A key condition to consider is that all photo entries must be of native Australian wildlife. Photos must be made ethically, without baiting, chasing, handling, harassment or habitat disturbance. Disclose if an animal was rescued, rehabilitated, captive or photographed in a restricted setting. Entrants can also submit up to 10 photos.

The photos that make it into the calendar will be chosen based on creativity, composition, image quality, ethical wildlife photography practices and relevance to Australian native wildlife.
