The annual Elanora Heights Village Christmas markets held on 23 November was a huge success, raising $8,100 for the Ingleside Rural Fire Service (RFS). The brigade, local to the area, was the market’s ‘charity of choice’ for this year, and has been serving the community since 1952.

Northern Beaches Councillor Vincent De Luca congratulated the event organisers on facebook, while Councillor Ruth Robins wrote: “Congratulations on another wonderful Christmas markets.”

The afternoon was a scene of Christmas cheer, with visitors able to start their gift buying with a range of quality stalls selling everything from candles, condiments and stationery to homewares, records and Christmas treats.

Amy, the owner of Confetti Rebels, also ran a Pamper Donation Drive, collecting items like lip balm and body creams to make up hampers for women in domestic violence shelters. “These little hampers bring a moment of comfort, dignity and joy to women going through an incredibly tough time – a reminder that they’re loved and not forgotten,” Amy said on facebook.

There was also entertainment on the day, with a live band bringing the music and performances from a young dance group.
