Royal Far West’s Spin Off Challenge returns to Manly beach on 12 November, bringing corporates and the local community together to raise funds to improve access to vital health and developmental services for children in rural and remote Australia.
Sydney business leaders will swap boardrooms for stationary spin bikes, as corporate teams descend on Manly Beach for a 100km cycling challenge. It follows a successful inaugural event that raised $100,000 last year for Royal Far West (RFW).
The Spin Off Challenge will also bring the wider community into the action, with local schoolchildren, special guests and RFW staff taking part. Members of the public are also encouraged to come down, make a donation, and cheer on the cyclists.
From 10am to 2pm, corporate teams will take turns cycling towards a 100km target, combining friendly competition with fundraising activities and beachfront entertainment.
Royal Far West CEO Briony Scott said the event demonstrated how businesses and communities could make a meaningful difference to children facing barriers to essential healthcare.
“Children growing up in rural and remote Australia often face significant barriers to accessing specialist health and developmental services, simply because of where they live.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the businesses, and community members getting behind this year’s challenge. Their generosity helps us continue delivering specialist care to country children, both here in Manly and in rural and remote communities across Australia.”
During the 2026 financial year, RFW supported more than 30,000 Australian children, parents and carers, educators, and health professionals across 243 rural and remote communities.
Funds raised from the event will help RFW expand its reach and continue delivering developmental and mental health services to improve outcomes for children and families across Australia.
RFW is inviting the community to head down to Manly Beach, cheer on the riders and enjoy the atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to get involved, including the Spin to Win promotion and prizes up for grabs.
