In a show of dedication to rural communities, Royal Far West (RFW) celebrates its staff members, Emma Robinson and Lucy Morrison, who are leading the charge in the upcoming Ride for Country Kids set to kick off in March 2024.
Working out of RFW’s Centre for Country Kids in Manly, the duo provides crucial face-to-face assessments and teletherapy to children across rural NSW, addressing a critical gap in local services.
Emma Robinson, a speech pathologist, emphasises the vital role of assessments and services for country kids, highlighting the lack of local alternatives.
Lucy Morrison, a psychologist, shares her motivation, citing the challenges faced by country families in accessing healthcare.
RFW CEO Jacqueline Emery underscores the urgent need for developmental and mental health services in rural areas, with the Ride aiming to raise $600,000 to support these essential services.
Emery praises the event for connecting with communities impacted by climate-related disasters, fostering awareness and fundraising for crucial services.
All funds raised will directly support the charity’s mission of providing critical assessments, services, and support to country kids in need.
