The Northern Beaches Council is updating its Community Safety Plan, building on the work it has done with the community to make our area safer and more resilient for the future.

This refreshed Plan will guide community safety priorities for the next five years and will continue council’s work to strengthen safety.

Community safety is about more than reducing crime. It includes preventing and responding to antisocial behaviour through effective design of public spaces, targeted support for vulnerable community members, improving access to services, and building resilience so we’re well prepared for future challenges.

Your experiences and ideas are central to shaping the updated Plan. Whether it’s the places you enjoy, areas that could be improved, or the kinds of support that matter most, your feedback will help set the priorities.

How to get involved:
•    Share your thoughts by completing council’s community safety survey
•    Drop pins on the interactive map to highlight your experience of safety

Consultation is open until Sunday 26 October. A draft of the updated Plan will then be released in 2026 for further community feedback.
