LocalKind is running a Giving Day today, where all donations made to the community-based organisation will be tripled by their generous matching partners.
Funds raised on Giving Day, 17 September, will directly support LocalKind’s frontline support workers, who walk alongside people in crisis every day. The team provides food and material aid, helps families find safe shelter, guides people through complex systems like Centrelink and housing, and offers the emotional support and advocacy that make recovery possible.
With demand for their services growing by more than 60% this year, these workers are a lifeline for thousands across the Northern Beaches.
LocalKind is aiming to meet a $80,000 fundraising target with their Giving Day.
Support Workers are often the very first point of contact for people in crisis, and without them, many in the community would fall through the cracks, facing homelessness, ongoing violence, untreated mental health challenges, and deeper isolation.
