An appeal to the Land and Environment Court to lift an Interim Heritage Order placed by Willoughby City Council was dismissed on 17 January 2024.
A Planning Proposal has been submitted to the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to extend the listing to include the Presbytery and school buildings.
It is anticipated the Heritage Listing proposal will be publicly exhibited in March 2024 after consulting with the community and receiving advice from the State Government.
The Interim Heritage Order over the site will expire on 24 May 2024, and any Heritage Listing will need to be approved by this time.
