Local Peninsula sustainable paint manufacturer Colormaker Industries announced they are now a proud partner of Manly Sea Eagles for the 2024 rugby league season.
“As a locally owned paint business, one that has proudly been manufacturing paint on the Northern Beaches for 66 years, we look forward to supporting the strong and successful Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
“We are proud to align Colormaker with the Sea Eagles and look forward to connecting with Sea Eagles fans right around the country, but particularly here on the Northern Beaches. We see this partnership as a significant step in our journey to help regenerate the local communities in which we work, live and play,” said managing director, David Stuart.
An environmentally sustainable paint business, Colormaker has been making paint using 100 per cent renewable energy for 4 and a half years.
They installed 100 kW of solar on their roof in September 2019 and just passed the milestone of 660 tonnes of GHG emissions saved earlier this month.
The business will celebrate the official launch of its ReVolve® battery on 5 April 2024.
The ReVolve® 144 kWh battery on Colormaker’s Brookvale site is the first in the world to be fully certified, commissioned and operating commercially, in this case, as a solar sponge.
“The ReVolve® battery will enable Colormaker to eliminate buying any power at all during the evening peak, thus taking more strain off the grid, whilst improving our self-sufficiency. Our first battery moved us in that direction and the new ReVolve® is delivering even bigger things in its earliest days,” advised Stuart.
In 2023, Colormaker won the 2023 Northern Beaches Business Sustainability Award and followed up by winning the Business NSW Excellence in Sustainability Award for the Sydney Metro region in October 2023.
