The Friends of Ivanhoe Park Botanic Garden are celebrating Spring and the new Central Lawn and Gardens at a Spring Festival on Sunday 12 October from 10am to 2pm with lots for everyone to enjoy.
Put a spring in your step with guided and self-guided tours and learn about local history and heritage trees. Grab a barbeque snag to keep the hunger at bay or enjoy a beautiful Devonshire tea presented by Manly Country Women’s Association.
Bring a yoga mat or towel and take part in a free half-hour yoga class with Emily Rose of Padme Hum. You can enjoy some live music and the kids will love the special activities such as face painting, pot-a-plant, treasure hunt, cricket, and Jenga.
Learn about botanic gardens with a special question and answer session with a guest garden ambassador, Paul Nicholson from the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney.
There will be market stalls such as Summer Candles Co and Curly Honey and information stalls about Bushland & Biodiversity from Northern Beaches Council. You can even buy a plant and there’s also a raffle that could win you Harbor Diggers gift certificates or Naked Wines packs.
Why not bring a picnic rug and head to the new lawn with your family, friends for a fun day in the beautiful Botanic Garden.
