Northern Beaches council is pleased to announce the new and improved playground upgrade at Jacka Park has been completed.

Families around Freshwater are now welcome to enjoy the new play structure inspired by local history and the flora and fauna that once flourished the area.

Highlights of the new playground include an inclusive toddler play area, a junior and senior themed play structure, a new swing set, natural elements including sandstone boulders for climbing and upgraded paths and seating.

According to Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan, the playground upgrade is one of the many upgrades council has rolled out in recent years.

“We are continuing to upgrade and improve open spaces and playgrounds right across the Northern Beaches, to ensure they are fun, safe and accessible for all children,” Mayor Regan said.

“Jacka Park has always been a popular meeting spot for local families, a fun play space for kids of all ages and a great venue for kids’ parties and picnics.”
