Zali Steggall, MP for Warringah, is hosting a forum on 24 September to consider ‘climate change and how we can take action to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.’

The panel of speakers includes experts from a range of disciplines affected by climate change, and intends to ‘discuss how we can build a future-ready Warringah together.’

Accompanying Zali, who will be discussing her Climate Change (National Framework for Adaptation) Bill 2025, other panelists include:

Greg Mullins AO AFSM – Former Commissioner of Fire & Rescue NSW, Founder Emergency Leaders for Climate Action (ELCA); and Councillor, Climate Council, who will share his experience on the front lines, the growing intensity of climate disasters and his advocacy through ELCA.

Julia Davis, Senior Policy & Communications Officer, Financial Rights Legal Service, who will be providing insights and stories on combatting the rising costs of insurance due to climate impacts and what you can do to lower insurance costs.

Emma Aisbett PhD, Economist, who will expand on climate innovation and how it can support a re-energised economy.

Zali’s team urged Warringah residents to attend. “Don’t miss this opportunity to join the conversation and learn from experts about how to prepare for a changing climate,” they said. “Please spread the word and invite friends and colleagues so they can join this important discussion. We look forward to seeing you.”
