The aged care volunteer visitor scheme (ACVVS) offers a free service for aged care residents or home care package recipients who are socially isolated.
Volunteers are needed to visit individuals from diverse backgrounds or cultural groups who lack regular contact with friends or family. They also provide support to people who are prevented from participating in social or leisure activities due to frailty, mobility or communication impairments.
