Take time out for nature and join the world’s biggest movement to protect our planet.
Every year, hundreds of millions of individuals, businesses, schools, councils, and communities around the world participate in Earth Hour. To demonstrate your support of the environment, you only need to switch off your lights at 8.30pm (local time) on 23 March.
This symbolic action will raise awareness of the issue and demonstrate your commitment to protecting the planet.
Earth Hour started in Sydney in 2007 and has now grown to more than 7,000 cities in over 190 countries.
The Empire State Building, the London Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are some of the world’s largest landmarks that every year take part in the action by switching off their lights as a symbolic display of their commitment to Earth.
You can also show your support by participating in Challenge 60, Wear it Wild, fundraising, or donating to the cause.
