Four participants were selected as winners of the 2022 ‘Connect, Collaborate, Celebrate’, a Willoughby art exhibition set aside for people living with disability, experiencing social isolation or at risk of marginalisation.
The exhibition held at the Dougherty Community Centre in Chatswood is a key part of the Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-26.
Alison Hall won the top prize with her piece Flitter Flutter (Acrylic on Paper). As the winning artist, she was given a $500 pre-paid voucher and has been offered the opportunity to hold a solo artwork exhibition at the centre.
The other three winners were Highly Commended and received a $100 voucher each:
- Jonathan David Smit for Textures in Colour (Soluble Wax Pencils)
- Virginia Redenbach for Art Connects us to the World (Acrylic on Paper)
- Bridget Kelly for Coasting (Posca on Wood).
All entrants received a certificate from Willoughby Mayor Tanya Taylor in recognition of their amazing work.
