The Rise Manly winter festival returns
Rise Manly winter festival is back for its second year from 19 to 28 June, following the success of the inaugural festival in 2025, with fun activities and events for the whole family, catering to all ages and interests.
Run by Northern Beaches Council, and delivered in partnership with the Manly Business Chamber, the 10-day event showcases the vibrant spirit of local businesses, and the Manly community with an exciting line-up of activities and experiences.
The Corso, laneways and beachfront will be buzzing with live music and street performances, awesome light projections, a fabulous Ferris wheel and lots more. There will be some delicious winter-themed menus to savour too.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins says she is thrilled to see Rise Manly return. “The program was such a success last year and there are plans to build on this popularity with more surprises including a silent disco tour,” says Mayor Heins. “Manly’s shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, fitness and wellness businesses are teaming up to bring a fun-filled and delicious array of special events and unforgettable experiences.”
Rise Manly highlights this year include a special Manly Town Hall Light Projection, a colourful makeover of enlivening projections on the heritage-listed building.

The surface of The Corso will be transformed with an interactive light experience which will have the whole family in awe. Surf Dive ‘n Ski Manly will be hosting a winter movie night so grab yourself some popcorn, a woolly blanket and get cosy.
If you don’t mind a bracing winter swim you can celebrate the winter solstice and support those in need with a one-kilometre swim from Manly to Shelly Beach, with the Ice-Cold Classic. Then make sure you warm up with a European-inspired winter warmer menu at Henry G’s with a fondue and wine experience.
Or perhaps you might like to get your ski suits out, grab your woolly hats and mittens and head to one the special après ski parties at The Espy.
Visitors can also relax and unwind at Hotel Steyne Garden on The Corso, enjoy a wide variety of activities and catch some great live music.
“Rise Manly is a fantastic showcase of what our community can achieve when we come together,” Mayor Heins says. “The event not only provides a boost for local businesses but also offers residents and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with everything that makes Manly special. We encourage the community to support local and celebrate the best things to do, taste and explore in Manly.”
