BALMORAL CAROLS

The popular annual Balmoral Carols, run by Mosman Village Church, will be at The Rotunda at Balmoral Beach on 7 December from 5pm, with the concert starting at 7pm.

A free shuttle will run on a continuous loop between Balmoral Beach, Spit Junction and Mosman from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. The Balmoral Carols program and songbook will be available to download from the website.

THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Willoughby Symphony Orchestra is bringing Christmas cheer to the Concourse in Chatswood on Sunday afternoon, 8 December. Bring your family and friends to The Magic of Christmas show and sing along with the orchestra as they play all the Christmas classics. This memorable afternoon is sure to get residents into the Christmas spirit.

CAROLS IN THE VILLAGE

Crows Nest will come alive with music and Christmas cheer on 8 December with this year’s Carols in the Village, organised by Northside Church. Make sure you get to Ernest Place by 4pm when the Sydney Jazz Youth Orchestra will kick off the evening, and lubricate those vocal chords and be ready to sing some Christmas carols from 5pm to 6.30pm. Children can have their faces painted for free, and Santa will be making a special appearance. There’s a sausage sizzle organised by Rotary for hungry tummies.

Taronga Zoo’s annual Christmas concert is on Saturday, 14 December, from 6pm until 8.30pm, with an evening of joyous entertainment. You can take a picnic or grab something from the range of hot food options and beverages available on-site. Food hampers can also be ordered in advance. The concert lawns are suitable for picnic rugs, cushions and low-level chairs. Alcoholic beverages and glass can only be purchased at the event. Bring your ponchos in case of rain!

Come and commemorate 60 years of the performance of Handel’s Messiah at Blessed Sacrament Church in Clifton Gardens. Hear your favourite arias and choruses performed by superb soloists, the Gagliano Ensemble and the Coyle Choristers. Join the artists after the hour-long performance for a chat and some Christmas cheer.
