Kristyn Glanville has been announced as the Greens candidate for the state seat of Manly in next year’s election. Glanville is currently a Northern Beaches councillor for the Curl Curl Ward.

With a background in planning and environmental law, Ms Glanville aims to strengthen commitments to community involvement, environment conservation and affordable housing.

“Power has been taken away from communities and local councils to shape development in their area in line with community needs and genuine community benefit,” Ms Glanville said. “The community is being told to brace for more development, without any meaningful plans or firm commitments for improved public transport, road upgrades, or other infrastructure.”

She is also calling for increased investment in the frequency and reliability of local public transport and active transport infrastructure.

Ms Glanville has lived on the Beaches since a young age, having attended high school in Dee Why and is currently living in Freshwater. She previously ran for the seat of Manly in 2019 and was recently re-elected to Northern Beaches Council. The NSW State Election will take place on 13 March 2027.
