Bilgola SLSC will host a Lifesaving Open Day event on Sunday 31 May. Community members are welcome to join in the day from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
Visitors can watch SLSC members carry out live rescue demonstrations on the water, inflatable rescue boat launches, and board and tube rescues. A hands-on CPR and first-aid showcase will take place too.
The volunteer, not-for-profit club will also be offering a Patrol operations walkthrough and surf boat displays.
The day is for all ages and no experience or SLSC background is needed to be part of the fun. If you have children who love the water, or you’ve always been curious about surf lifesaving, come along and find out more.
