North Sydney Council invites local business owners, commercial property stakeholders and business operators to attend the Let’s Talk Rates Business Breakfast, on Thursday 20 November from 7am to 9am at Hutley Hall, 200 Miller Street in North Sydney.
Join council representatives for a dedicated forum to discuss council’s draft Long-Term Financial Plan, the three proposed business rate options, and potential impacts on the local business community.
Council is currently facing significant financial pressures, including a $157 million infrastructure renewal backlog and rising service delivery costs. To address these challenges and ensure long-term financial sustainability, Council is considering new, revised special rate variations.
At the breakfast, council will present an overview of the financial context driving the proposal, outline the business rate options, and discuss what these changes may mean for businesses and investment confidence in the area. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to help inform council’s final decision.
