North Sydney MP Kyela Tink has sat her last official day in Parliament before the May 3 election.
In an emotional message to supporters, Ms Tink stated, “It has been my absolute honour to serve this community over the past three years. Thank you for entrusting me with your voice and your vote and for working with me to reinvigorate our democracy.”
She also highlighted that she and her team ‘continued to make waves’ until the very last sitting day.
The independent also reiterated that she would not be running in the next election, largely because the seat of North Sydney has been abolished and divided among the neighbouring electorates of Warringah, Bennelong, and Bradfield.
Ms Tink’s office will still run in ‘caretaker mode’ during the election campaign. She has urged her soon-to-be former constituents to check electorate.aec.gov.au to familiarise themselves with the electorate they will be voting in. Other useful links include:
