Northern Beaches Council is looking to create a new recreation space at Winnererremy Bay, Mona Vale, for the community to enjoy.
The primary goal is for neighbourhoods to inspire social interaction and inclusion and support health and wellbeing.
As part of the actions from Let’s Play! (council’s Open Space and Outdoor Recreation Strategy), is to look at improvements for Mona Vale, including the potential for a new basketball hardcourt facility.
The proposed basketball facility will include a new hard court with regulation size key and 3-point lines; new seating overlooking the courts and park area; open grassed areas will remain and will include new shade trees to provide passive recreational opportunities; an additional bike path around the perimeter of the hard court.
