If you are aged over 18 and want a flexible volunteer role supporting local people who would otherwise have no connection or support, you should help out Proveda.
The Beaches region has a high population of older people, people living with disability and mental illness and people living alone who need support. Proveda’s social support program aims to link individuals with suitable volunteers.
Training is provided for helpers, who will receive ongoing support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator. A driver’s licence is required as is a free police check.
There are many benefits to this role, including regular social events where you can meet other volunteers.
