Transport for NSW has put out an alert for the community advising of changed southbound traffic conditions on Spit Road, near Central Avenue at Mosman due to works being carried out between Monday 15 September and Friday 3 October.
According to the traffic alert, these changes are necessary to investigate the location of utilities and services as part of the design and preparation for upcoming slope remediation work outside 187-189 Spit Road. Traffic controllers will close the bus lane for workers to investigate services under the footpath.
Work will be carried out for up to three nightshifts between Monday 15 September 2025 and Friday 3 October 2025, weather permitting. Night work hours are between 8pm and 5am, and work will not occur on Fridays or Saturdays.
Temporary lane closure, traffic controls and reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of pedestrians, workers, and road users. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
