With two H5 bird flu cases confirmed on the Northern Beaches, in Dee Why and Warriewood, you have an opportunity to become more informed on the virus and ask questions of experts.
NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), in partnership with Northern Beaches Council, is hosting a free community information session at the Warriewood Community Centre.
Hear directly from NSW DPIRD, NSW Health, National Parks and Wildlife Service and Local Land Services about the current bird flu situation in NSW, the response underway, public health considerations, and practical steps the community can take to help reduce the impact and spread of bird flu.
The community will be able to ask questions and discuss concerns with agency representatives.
This session is recommended for everyone, including local businesses, tourism operators, recreational fishers, wildlife carers, environmental groups, community organisations and anyone seeking information about bird flu.
The event is on Wednesday 30 September 2026 from 6pm to 7.30pm at Warriewood Community Centre.
