To recognise International Women’s Day (IWD), Northern Beaches charities LocalKind and the Women’s Resilience Centre will host a lunch at Long Reef Golf Club.
The event will be held on 26 February, and in keeping with this year’s IWD theme, ‘Give to Gain – Celebrating Generosity and Collaboration,’ will see all proceeds go towards these charities, both of which support women recovering from domestic abuse.
The lunch will be hosted by Kristen Hansen, an author and expert in the neuroscience of leadership, resilience and performance. Kristen has worked with the Women’s Resilience Centre delivering transformative workshops, showing participants how to reset their mindset and bounce back stronger from life’s challenges.
Natalia Rachel, an author and trauma-informed educator, will be the keynote speaker, sharing her insights on leadership, inclusion, and mental wellbeing, exploring how empathy and collaboration create cultures of generosity and resilience.
Tickets include a two-course lunch and there will be silent auction and raffle prizes on the day.
LocalKind and the Women’s Resilience Centre have a shared mission to build communities where kindness and resilience thrive. LocalKind champions connection and kindness, creating opportunities for people to give and receive support in meaningful ways, while The Women’s Resilience Centre provides safe spaces and programs for women recovering from trauma, helping them rebuild their lives with strength and dignity.
