A large brawl involving roughly 40 teenagers broke out in Manly Wharf on Monday night.
At roughly 9pm, witnesses say a group of teenagers set upon a boy, attacking him in numbers. According to News.com, a couple by the name of Renee and Simon intervened in the fight, taking the boy they believed to be 13 or 14 into the nearby Italian restaurant Fratelli Fresh where they took shelter until Police arrived.
The couple took to social media to tell the story, recounting how they protected the boy: “Renee guarded one door from his attackers, and I guarded the other.”
Police were called to the incident, with most individuals leaving the scene upon their arrival. No injuries were reported. Police assisted in dispering the remaining crowd, with a knife being found on the ground and seized. Police are investigating the matter further.
