On 5 November, around 20 Northern Beaches locals from Animal Justice Party rallied together in a protest for the animals at the Stardust Circus at Warriewood.
According to Animal Justice Party, Stardust Circus’ animals are believed to have been forced to perform an average of 27 shows over the month.
Animal Justice Party leader Susan Sorensen claims that compassionate people start to think from a different perspective when they realise all animals are deserving of respect and justice.
“We advocate for animals in the circus to be retired from circus life and that talented and consenting humans be used in the performances instead,” she said.
“They should be allowed a life of freedom where they can engage in their natural behaviours.”
Animal Justice Party is now asking locals on the Northern Beaches to stand up for the animals to encourage Stardust to abandon the use of animals in their circus acts.
