With HSC exams set to begin on Tuesday 13 October, Year 12 students are in the midst of study and preparation. To help students, Northern Beaches Council will be running HSC Take Over events across its libraries until 23 October, while also providing 24/7 access to Manly and Forestville libraries.
A Grumble Brekkie will take place at three council libraries, and will see students start their study day with a free breakfast and an aerobic dance session with performance artist Betty Grumble, who will bring her Grumble Boogie to the space. It’s a 30 minute daggy-dancing session set to help students release and rejuvenate.
The Grumble Brekkie will be held on Tuesday 6 October at Glen Street Library; Wednesday 7 October at Dee Why Library; and Friday 9 October at Forestville Library. Each session starts at 8.30am and bookings are essential.
There will also be pizza evenings held at Mona Vale and Warringah Mall libraries, and Mona Vale Library will host a junk journalling drop-in session on Tuesday 20 October from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
Students wishing to access Manly and Forestville libraries after hours must be aged 16 years and over, and are required to attend an induction.
To register for an induction, and for more information on HSC Take Over events, visit the council website.
