If you are renting a dwelling or considering renting in the future, it is important you know your rights. Stanton Library on 234 Miller Street North Sydney has you covered with a special information session at the library from 6pm to 7pm on Wednesday 20 August.
Topics that will be covered include getting repairs done, being given a notice of termination, getting your bond back, boarding houses, dealing with Public and Community Housing Providers and going to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, including appealing a decision of the Tribunal.
Marrickville Legal Centre is hosting the session and is a community legal centre that provides free and affordable legal advice and casework to people who live in the inner-west and serving NSW. Their catchment area includes North Sydney Council for tenancy-related services only.
This event will be held in the Conference Room on Level 2 and is accessible for people using mobility aids via lift.
