Heavy rain across the Northern Beaches over the weekend has brought with it numerous potholes across local roads.

Persistent, rainy conditions bring new potholes, while making existing potholes worse, providing a headache for drivers. Between 1 July to 7 August this year, almost 700 potholes were reported to Northern Beaches Council.

While damaging potholes on local roads are managed by the council, major arterial roads including Pittwater Road, Barrenjoey Road and Wakehurst parkway are managed by the NSW Government.

Council encourages residents to report potholes in their local area on the council website, so it can be added to their works schedule.

The council website allows residents to report potholes on council-managed roads, and also provides a link to report potholes on NSW Government-managed roads.
