Manly Swimmers Represent at National Championships in Brisbane
Thirty swimmers from Manly Swim Club are taking part in the 2025 Australian Age and Open Championships, currently underway at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. The event, which runs until 24 April, is the largest on the national swimming calendar, attracting more than 2,000 athletes from across the country.
Manly’s swimmers are part of the club’s squad program based at the Manly Aquatic Centre and train under the guidance of the centre’s coaching team, led by Nationally Accredited Coach Justin Burrows. This year’s turnout is one of the club’s largest in recent years.
The Championships are considered an important development opportunity for junior and senior swimmers alike, with many Olympians, including Ariarne Titmus and Elijah Winnington, having competed at the event in earlier years.
Racing began last week, with Manly swimmers competing across multiple age groups and events. The event will run through until 24 April
