North Sydney council has announced the next program of fox baiting is set to commence from 10 October to 25 November.

North Shore locals are being warned that dog walking of any kind will be suspended in the baited areas during this time.

The 1080 fox baiting program will be conducted in areas including, Badangi Reserve and Berry Island Reserve at Wollstonecraft and Balls Head Reserve at Balls Head.

The fox control end date will include a mandatory four-week exclusion period following cessation of baiting.

The aim of the regionally coordinated program is to reduce the impacts of fox predation on native wildlife inhabiting Northern Sydney’s urban bushland environment.
