Two men have been charged after shots were allegedly fired from a balcony on Sydney’s North Shore yesterday.

At about 4pm on Sunday the 1st of December, emergency services were called to an incident occurring on Kurraba Road, Kurraba Point, after locals had reported shots being fired from a unit block in the area.

After arriving at the scene, witnesses alleged that two men had been firing shots from a firearm off the balcony.

Witnesses and police reported no injuries occurring at the scene.

Following further inquiries, at about 6.45pm, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command arrested two 23-year-old men believed to be linked to the shots fired.

During a search of a vehicle at the location, police located and seized a gel blaster replica firearm which are illegal in most states, including NSW.

The men were taken to Chatswood Police Station where they were both charged with possess unauthorised firearm.

Both men are due to appear before Manly Local Court on Thursday 12 December 2024.
