North Sydney Council will be delivering a range of practical and inspiring sustainability events this April to help the community to learn, connect and take action – starting with some fantastic school holiday nature walks led by the Bushcare team.

On Friday 10 April the team will lead a guided walk to discover local birds and insects around the Coal Loader parklands from 10.30am to 12pm, and invites attendees to bring their own binoculars and magnifying glass.

Berry Island Reserve will play host to a family bush walk on Tuesday 14 April from 10.30am to 12pm. Parents and children are invited to join the Bushcare team for a guided walk around the Gadyan Track, where participants will be encouraged to use their senses of touch, sight and hearing to immerse themselves in nature and learn about their surroundings. The walk is recommended for ages five and over.

And for those who are keen to learn about recycled fashion, there will be a Coal Loader Clothes Swap on Saturday 18 April from 9.30am to 12pm. The morning will feature a clothes swap, a talk by Nina Gbor and a restyling demonstration, along with mending activities.
