Whether you are an emerging or established artist, you might be interested in exhibiting your work at the Rotary Club of the Upper Northern Beaches (RCUNB) Art Show 2024, which will be held from July 19 to 21 at the Mona Vale Memorial Hall.

Mayor Sue Heins will officially open the event at a gala opening night on 19 July. Lifeline’s John Brogden will be the guest keynote speaker and artist Sarah Montgomery from Sydney Road Gallery will be the official judge. $25 tickets, which include refreshments, are available online.

Entrants are in the running for a top prize of $1,500 and a People’s Choice Award of $500.

Artists will be entitled to a chosen percentage of the selling price of their artwork, while the remaining proceeds will support Lifeline and Rotary Youth Programs.

Bruce Lakin, chairman of the art show organising committee, says 120 pieces of art were exhibited last year and $15,000 was raised for worthy causes.

With no government funding, these events are crucial to Rotary’s work, as all the money comes from fundraisers and sponsorship. The closing date for entries into the art show is 18 June.
