Do you enjoy putting smiles on faces? Do you have a beloved pet that you would like to share with other animal lovers?
Velma’s Pets as Therapy charity is seeking volunteers and their pets to visit seniors and aged care homes. Volunteers must have their own transport for a few hours a fortnight. Also, most health facilities require a flu and COVID-19 vaccination.
Your pet will need to be well-mannered and happy with attention from strangers, but will also need to have a suitability check with Velma’s and your own vet using a specific checklist.
