See your favourite performers under the stars at this concert series

Get set for a rocking time as music event, Night at The Barracks, kicks off at the North Head Sanctuary in Manly on 13 September.

This much-loved concert series returns for the third time to thrill music lovers with an outstanding line-up of Australian superstars and special live shows on offer, starting with legendary rock band, Icehouse, led by singer Iva Davies.

Freshwater’s Dave McCredie will be putting on a show at the Barracks for the first time, with the folk and pop singer- songwriter bringing his ‘sweet busking personality’ to enchant concert-goers with ‘catchy melodies’ and ‘heartfelt storytelling.’

“My songs are written about the highs and lows of life. From doing life with your best friend, to the heartbreak of a failed relationship, my set takes the listener through all the emotions,” Dave says. “From tears of sadness to tears of laughter.

“I’m so keen for the show. I feel like the Beaches community supports live music, so I’m expecting an eager, attentive and fun crowd. I haven’t played a show on the Beaches yet. However, I’ve really wanted to, so when the opportunity came up, I jumped at it,” he explains.

Dave says Night at the Barracks is a great opportunity for the community to enjoy the music of their favourite musicians ‘in a beautiful environment.’ “It’s going to be such a great evening.”

The musician will perform in a duo as a support act before singer and songwriter Pete Murray, one of an elite group of Australian artists to have sold over 1.2 million records across his career.

“Prepare to be swept away by enchanting harmonies, heartfelt storytelling, and the undeniable magic that happens when two kindred musical souls unite,” Dave says.

The last week of the event, running from 4 to 6 October, will feature three of Australia’s most compelling artists: singer- songwriter Matt Corby and his band; Australia’s pop superstar, Jessica Mauboy; and singer and guitarist Xavier Rudd, who will close the event.

Night at The Barracks is committed to pursuing environmental sustainability, which is why the event will have reusable aluminium cups and merchandise made from 100 per cent recycled materials and the site will be powered by renewable energy.

Ticket holders are encouraged to use public transport and there will also be bike racks on-site to encourage visitors to cycle to the event.

The event will also feature an array of local food and beverage providers.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience the music show at the North Head Sanctuary, the perfect place for concert-goes to gaze up into the night sky while enjoying the talents of amazing performers.
