Northern Beaches Council has funding for seven 22kW EV chargers as part of the Intellihub EV Streetside Charging Project, making it easier for those living in apartments or townhouses to charge their vehicles.

Local streetside power poles will be turned into charging stations for electric vehicles under an Australian-first trial being rolled out by Intellihub. The trial is for 12 months.

Following community consultation, 12 sites were identified in Palm Beach, Avalon Beach, Newport, Terrey Hills, Mona Vale, Warriewood, Frenchs Forest, Collaroy, Allambie Heights, and three sites in Manly.

The exact locations of the charging stations are available on the council website.

Council would like you to log onto their website and nominate which of the sites should be a priority. As more funding becomes available, more charging stations will be rolled out to the remaining sites.
