Mosman Historical Society (MHS) members and friends are invited to attend a Community Market at The Barn on Avenue Road, Mosman Bay (near the ferry terminal) from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 8 September. Members and the community will have the opportunity to see inside The Barn, home of Mosman Scouts, which has been restored.
Maddy Godsell, daughter of Colleen Godsell, MHS member and custodian of The Barn, has been running the Sharing Shelf in Bray Street, where she gives away free food to those in need. The food is donated by Woolies and Mosman residents.
She has now expanded on this by organising a Community Day, with free food, free dog treats, music and lots more. The Theme of the day is Sustainability and the Cost-of-Living crisis.
There will be Stalls for community groups to sell their wares or to promote their group. Copies of Colleen Godsell’s history of The Barn Whaling Station, and MHS book, Mosman: Times Gone By, will be available for sale.
