A man has been charged following an alleged assault in Manly on 16 June.
Just after midnight, emergency services were called to a hotel on The Corso following reports of an assault.
A 42-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for an injury to the back of his head. The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical, but stable condition.
Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command arrested a 40-year-old man nearby, who was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for treatment for facial injuries.
Upon his release from hospital, the man was taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with affray, reckless wounding and two counts common assault.
He was refused bail and will appear before Manly Local Court.
