Former Mayor Brian Green extraordinary contributions were formally acknowledged by Northern Beaches Council by naming a lookout at Curl Curl after him.
The lookout in Curl Curl on Carrington Parade was officially named the Brian Green Lookout on Friday 31 March 2023, the and a plaque was unveiled with his wife and four children in attendance.
The fitting tribute was made just two days after his passing.
Mr Green served the community in various roles in the former Warringah Shire Council from 1980 to 1995.
As former Councillor, Mayor and President of Warringah Council, played an important role delivering projects and programs that significantly benefited the community, including the Glen Street Theatre, the Coastal Environment Centre and the Northern Beaches Bicentennial Coastal Walk.
The Curl Curl lookout was very important to Mr Green, and now the community and visitors to the area will learn of Brian’s incredible contribution through this memorial site.
