It’s time to remember current and past Australian armed services personnel by attending one of the many Anzac Day commemoration services on the Beaches on Friday, 25 April. On 25 April 1915, Australian and New Zealand troops (the ANZACs) landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where they, along with other Commonwealth Forces, held their ground for eight months against a Turkish force with both sides suffering casualties. The Anzac spirit has become a benchmark for courage, mateship and determination.
For those looking to attend a service near them on the Northern Beaches and North Shore, we’ve prepared an extensive list for you to review.
