Sparkle at the Holi Festival of Colours

Celebrate Holi on 16 and 17 March by Sydney Harbour and get lost in a rainbow of colour and culture at this significant Hindu festival, which brings the community together for a weekend of fabulous fun.

Holi is a famous Hindu festival of colours celebrating the changing of the seasons from winter to spring in India.

Everyone here can celebrate in Milsons Point with the glorious Sydney Harbour as a backdrop.

The whole family can witness the tastes, sounds, culture and arts of Indians living in Australia over two days and nights when Bradfield Park bursts into life with live performances, Indian food stalls, bazaar stalls, a laser show and much more.

Hungry? Enjoy a tempting array of delicious Indian food that will tickle your tastebuds. Fancy a bit of shopping? They’ve got you covered, and you can grab a bargain at one of the many bazaar stalls.

This year will feature the inaugural ‘Holi After Dark,’ an atmospheric evening as the festival switches to UV lights and plays Holi with glow-in-the-dark colours.

There will be light shows, special performances and professional face and body painters to create extra unique designs for festival visitors.

General entry is free, but visitors must register for tickets online. The free tickets have timeslot options so you can plan your weekend and know that the whole of Sydney won’t show up at the same time.

Organisers advise that the free-ticket queues can be a bit ‘unpredictable and long,’ but they do offer other options to make it easier for festival goers.

An express entry ticket gives visitors guaranteed access at your selected timeslot via a dedicated separate entry. This is great for seniors – or people with impatient young kids!

VIP passes mean no queues and an official Holi t-shirt. Get tickets at holifestivalsydney.com.au
