Northern Beaches Council is seeking feedback on the proposed design for the renewal of the heritage-listed Paradise Beach wharf and pool in Avalon.
Built in the 1940s, the wharf and pool are popular with locals, but the current structure is at the end of its life and due for renewal.
Due to its heritage listing, the new wharf and pool will have similar proportions to the existing structure, allowing it to maintain its heritage aesthetic and minimise the environmental impact.
A living sea wall will be installed, which should increase the ecological biodiversity of artificial structures in a marine environment.
The council is also considering a beach shower and foot-level tap as part of the renewal.
