Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel has recommended Northern Beaches Council to approve the DA proposal at 1102 Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach. The old fish and chip shop site, might include approval of the height breach proposed by the promoters, creating concern on the residents.
The DA was listed for the NBLPP Meeting hold on Wednesday 15 February 2023. The agenda stated that the Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel approved the Application No. DA2022/0469 for Construction of shop top housing on site, subject to the conditions set out in the Assessment Report.
The main concerns received for the DA application were predominantly relate to visual impact due to the height and size of the development. The impact upon the adjoining heritage item, parking concerns and overshadowing and privacy impacts were also mentioned on the community submissions.
To those objections, the Assessment Report, said: “This report concludes with a recommendation that the NBLPP grant approval to the development application, subject to conditions”.
