The Salvation Army Australia is looking for volunteer catering team members to work in a commercial kitchen facility and help provide consistent and nourishing meals in a safe, welcoming place.
Volunteers assist with preparing and serving food under the guidance and support of the catering team leader. An ideal role for those who enjoy cooking in a team environment.
Some of the key tasks will be helping with the meal preparation and service, set up and clean up and managing stocks and storage.
This role gives an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in food handling, preparation and service and access to a range of training opportunities and insight into the work of a large not-for-profit religious organisation with expressions in many different areas of society.
