Willoughby City Council is seeking feedback from the community to determine the most suitable approach for household clean-up collections.

Approximately 28,000 households utilize the council’s clean-up collection service to dispose of bulky waste such as furniture and small appliances.

The council is considering two options for the clean-up collection system as part of the process. The first option is to implement a new system where each household can schedule four free clean-up collections annually. The households would have the flexibility to choose the dates for these collections.

The second alternative is to retain the current system, which allows households to utilize the three Council-scheduled collection dates and also book one free clean-up collection on a date of their choosing.

Entries can be submitted until 11 August.

The existing collection system will remain unchanged for now. If the council decides to proceed with the new system, it will not be implemented until March 2024.
