North Sydney Council announced the changes to its parking meters due to the upcoming Australia-wide shutdown of the 3G network in August.

In August, all parking meters in the North Sydney LGA will be upgraded, which means a new paid parking system will be installed.

PayStay App will be a new payment modality as the Touch N Go boxes, which you will see installed around street poles, providing another way to pay.

All new meters operational by 25 July, and the older meters will stay in use until the new meters are operational.

The parking zones and time limits remain unchanged

For one week starting on 22 July, third-party staff will be at various parking locations across the LGA to help with any questions about using the new meters, Touch N Go boxes or the PayStay app.

Council also have the new parking meters and Touch N Go boxes available at the Customer Service Centre.

Staff will be available to assist with questions about how the new meters and boxes operate.
